This 9.26-carat pyrope garnet is cut as a pear measuring 15.4 x 12.4 x 7.9 mm, with a red body color, sourced from Tanzania.

Pyrope is the magnesium garnet; with a trace of chromium it burns brighter and warmer than its iron-heavy almandine cousin.
