5.80 ct Green Tourmaline - Square

This 5.8-carat tourmaline is cut as a square measuring 10.6 x 8.1 mm, with a green body color, sourced from Nigeria.

Tourmaline takes a wider range of color than almost any other gem species, because its crystal will accept so many different coloring elements. Nigeria's gem fields rose to prominence in the 1990s and remain a significant modern source. It carries no treatment of any kind, so the color you see is the color that came out of the ground.
