This 4.15-carat aquamarine is cut as a pear measuring 13.6 x 9.9 x 6.6 mm, with a blue body color, sourced from Nigeria.

Aquamarine is the blue beryl, colored by iron, and grows in larger clean crystals than its cousin emerald, which is why it cuts so bright. Nigeria's gem fields rose to prominence in the 1990s and remain a significant modern source. It carries no treatment of any kind, so the color you see is the color that came out of the ground.
