This 32.07-carat aquamarine is cut as a cushion measuring 22.6 x 16.7 x 12.9 mm, with a blue body color, sourced from Brazil.

Aquamarine is the blue beryl, colored by iron, and grows in larger clean crystals than its cousin emerald, which is why it cuts so bright. Brazil has been one of the most prolific colored-gemstone sources in the world for a century, and still turns up new material on a regular basis. It is wholly untreated, its color finished by geology rather than by any furnace or enhancement.
