3.89 ct Orange Garnet-Spessartite - Oval

This 3.89-carat spessartite garnet is cut as an oval measuring 9.7 x 8.8 x 6.4 mm, with an orange body color, sourced from Nigeria.

Spessartite is the manganese garnet that owns the orange end of the family, from honeyed tones to the saturated mandarin color collectors chase. Nigeria's gem fields came to prominence in the 1990s and remain a significant source of spessartite and other fine garnet. It is entirely untreated; no heat, no enhancement, the color exactly as the earth made it.

One of a kind, it exists exactly once; there is no second example to size up or down. It is the rarer object, and the kind of gemstone that becomes an heirloom. Caveman Gems hand-selects every gemstone and films it in good light, to give you the truest look a screen can.
