This 2.72-carat peridot is cut as a round measuring 7.0 x 4.3 mm, with a green body color, sourced from Burma.

Peridot is the gem form of olivine, colored green by the iron in its own structure, one of the few gems that occurs in a single color. Burma has supplied the gem trade with prized material for centuries, from narrow and irregularly worked deposits. It is entirely untreated; no heat, no enhancement, the color exactly as the earth made it.
