Morganite is the pink beryl, colored by manganese, a softer-toned member of the same family that gives us emerald and aquamarine. Nigeria's gem fields rose to prominence in the 1990s and remain a significant modern source. It carries no treatment of any kind, so the color you see is the color that came out of the ground.
