1.60 ct Green Alexandrite - Cabochon

This 1.6-carat alexandrite is shaped as a cabochon measuring 6.8 x 6.7 x 3.5 mm, with a green body color, sourced from Sri Lanka.

Alexandrite is the color-change chrysoberyl, green in daylight and red under lamplight; few gemstones genuinely change hue, and this is the one that defined the effect. Sri Lanka's gem gravels have been worked continuously for more than two thousand years. It is wholly untreated, its color finished by geology rather than by any furnace or enhancement. It comes with an independent laboratory certificate.
