1.68 ct Bi-color Sapphire - Oval

At 1.68 carats, this sapphire from Madagascar carries its bi-color face through an oval cut, measuring 8.1 x 5.6 x 4.6 mm.
Sapphire is corundum, one of the hardest materials in the gem world after diamond, and it comes in every color the species holds except the red the trade reserves for ruby. Madagascar has become a major modern sapphire source, fine material across nearly every color at more reachable prices than the classic localities. It is wholly untreated, its color finished by geology rather than by any furnace or enhancement.
A single natural gemstone with no duplicate behind it; once it is set or collected, there is no other. It will outlast everyone who owns it, which is most of what an heirloom really is. Hand-selected and filmed by Caveman Gems in good light, shown as honestly as a screen allows.
