1.31 ct Blue Tanzanite - Cushion

At 1.31 carats, this tanzanite from Tanzania carries its blue color through a cushion cut, measuring 6.1 x 4.5 mm.

Tanzanite is the blue-violet zoisite found in exactly one place on earth, a few square kilometers of hills in northern Tanzania. Tanzania holds some of the most interesting modern gem deposits, including several found nowhere else. Its color was brought up by heat, a legitimate and accepted practice that the trade discloses and we disclose here.

A single natural gemstone with no duplicate behind it; once it is set or collected, there is no other. It will outlast everyone who owns it, which is most of what an heirloom really is. Hand-selected and filmed by Caveman Gems in good light, shown as honestly as a screen allows.
