Sapphire
1.06 ct Blue Sapphire - Pear

At 1.06 carats, this sapphire from Montana carries its blue color through a pear cut, measuring 6.9 x 5.8 x 3.7 mm.
Sapphire is corundum, one of the hardest materials in the gem world after diamond, and it comes in every color the species holds except the red the trade reserves for ruby. The Montana deposits along the Missouri River and Rock Creek give American sapphire its steely blue and teal signature. It carries no treatment of any kind, so the color you see is the color that came out of the ground.
A single natural gemstone with no duplicate behind it; once it is set or collected, there is no other. It will outlast everyone who owns it, which is most of what an heirloom really is. Hand-selected and filmed by Caveman Gems in good light, shown as honestly as a screen allows.
