1.04 ct Purple Sapphire-Color Change - Cushion

This 1.04-carat color-change sapphire is cut as a cushion measuring 6.6 x 5.1 x 3.2 mm, with a purple body color, sourced from Sri Lanka.

Sapphire is corundum, one of the hardest materials in the gem world after diamond, and it comes in every color the species holds except the red the trade reserves for ruby. It is entirely untreated; no heat, no enhancement, the color exactly as the earth made it.

One of a kind, it exists exactly once; there is no second example to size up or down. It is the rarer object, and the kind of gemstone that becomes an heirloom. Caveman Gems hand-selects every gemstone and photographs it in good light, to give you the truest look a screen can.
