0.67 ct Purple Garnet-Grape - Radiant

This 0.67-carat grape garnet is cut as a radiant measuring 5.8 x 4.4 x 2.9 mm, with a purple body color, sourced from Mozambique.

Mozambique's northern gem fields supply ruby, tourmaline, and a steady run of fine garnet with the strong color East Africa is known for. It carries no treatment of any kind, so the color you see is the color that came out of the ground. That is typical of garnet, one of the few gem families that reaches the market almost entirely untreated.

A genuine grape garnet at a size and price you can actually wear, the real thing rather than a machine-grown copy. Caveman Gems hand-selects every gemstone and photographs it in good light, to give you the truest look a screen can.
