This 0.27-carat alexandrite is cut as an oval measuring 4.5 x 3.4 x 2.2 mm, with a green body color, sourced from Brazil.

Alexandrite is the color-change chrysoberyl, green in daylight and red under lamplight; few gemstones genuinely change hue, and this is the one that defined the effect. It carries no treatment of any kind, so the color you see is the color that came out of the ground.
